And let get things straight, ladies! For that fabulous party, when Cinderella got to know Prince Charming, the fairy had provided her with the most wonderful dress in the whole world. Just remember: she was not yet a princess and the party was a ball. So, which gown did she wear? Well, the Princess style was still to be invented by her and the dear fairy, very well fashion conscious had appropriately given her the Ball Gown!

Since those old good Cinderella days, the Ball Gown has evolved in its neckline and sleeves, keeping untouchable a small waist and its skirt full of petticoats. Queen Victoria told us the story, Christian Dior reinvented the dress in the 50's and till this day it remains a classicfavorite, the most romantic weddings' gown choice!

Let us just be aware that this silhouette is the one to flatter women of average height and good shaped waist. Such voluminous skirt will only overwhelm a petite bride. Therefore, little girls, wear your long pink dresses with very round skirts while you can!

You do not have to spend a fortune as for the {SATC wedding cake} we have shown you a few days ago. There are a lot of different other ways to reinterpret the special theme «Winter« within your cake. Talking about the {SATC Wedding Cake with Swarovski Crystals} in our last blog, Michaela would like to show you what she meant with «getting ideas when she saw this cake« .... Have a look at some details of one of Michaela's weddings when the bride was looking for a real white winter wedding in the snow. And there was snow, believe us, you can't image how much!!!

Auch wenn es schon länger her ist, aber die umwerfende Hochzeitstorte aus | Sex and the City 2 | müssen wir euch unbedingt zeigen. Kreiert wurde sie von | Ron Ben-Israel | und seinem Team in einem Arbeitsprozess von unglaublichen 450 Stunden. Das Besondere an der Torte sind die - auch wenn wir es manchmal fast nicht mehr hören können - | Swarovski Kristalle |. Ja, im richtigen Moment sind sie einfach immer noch unentbehrlich.

Und das führte in diesem Fall zu einer funkelnden Torte, zu der man sowohl im Winter als auch im Sommer das passende Umfeld kreieren kann. Michaela, ganz in Ihrem Element als Hochzeitsplanerin, schwärmt schon von Kerzen in riesigen Gläsern, Kristalllustern als Dekorationsobjekte auf weiss eingekleideten Podesten und vielen, vielen weissen Blüten. Ach ja, und die Torte, die kostete 32.000,- Dollar ...

Because not every bride is suited to every dress ... The A-line wedding gown is narrower at the top, flaring gently wider toward the bottom thereby resembling the letter A. There is mostly no horizontal seam in the waist, making its lines uninterrupted. A-line dresses work well on most figure types; it emphasizes the bust, it is ideal for small brides wanting to look longer and disguises well bottom-heavy figures. And it is a great alternative to Empire dresses!

Was für eine Farbe für Frauen wie uns, die im Alltag so gut wie immer in Schwarz gekleidet sind und die sich einfach nie und nimmer mit der Vorstellung eines weißen Kleides anfreunden können. Es ist einfach wunderbar, unsere Lieblingsdesigner enttäuschen uns nie: Die neue | Elie Saab | Bridal Collection 2011 für | Pronovias | ist wieder eine Sensation! Ihr werdet uns gleich zustimmen, wenn ihr euch die Bustiers der neuen Brautkleider anseht - sanft und eckig, rund und kantig, weich und trotzdem geradlinig, all das gleichzeitig. Und je länger wir es uns ansehen, desto mehr wünschten wir uns, in einem dieser Kleider über den Boden schweben zu dürfen.

Auch wenn das heute nichts mit Brautmode zu tun hat, das muss gesagt werden: Michaela fragt sich, was die | Lanvin for H&M Kollektion | mit seiner doch eigentlich so wunderschönen Mode zu tun hat? | Alber Elbaz | ist als Designer für | Lanvin | ein Künstler der asymmetrischen Schnitte, der Drapierungen, Faltungen und Wrinkles. Aber wo findet sich das bei seiner H&M Kollektion wieder? Michaela ist enttäuscht. Und wird sich höchstens den Zebramantel aus der Nähe ansehen.

| PRIVATE | Why our blog paused

You might have asked what happened to our blog? Better say: What happened to us? Something wonderful, as you can see on the photo below! Michaela gave birth to her supersweet and cute baby boy, such an happy event, and together with the weddings she has organized during this summer - this all made it impossible to keep an eye on this blog. Although we still love each post we have published, being so much what we think and feel about this wonderful business .... so we hope that we can welcome you back on our site and you will love to follow us again!
